I have a 1960 Ford F100 pickup truck that the brake lights do not work. I bought a new brake light switch but?
I installed the new switchg but they still don’t work. If you touch the 2 wires together the lights come on so it is not the wireing. Do you have to fill the switch with fluid or bleed it somehow>
On a 1960 Ford truck the brake light switch is connected the the brake master cylinder and it is operated by pressure in the master cylinder. I have checked the turn signal switch and it operates as it should. One of the two wires goes to the turn signal switch and the other to the headlight switch.
